Two Weeks Into the Mission (P2’s Public Exposure)
For me, the official launch of P2 was when we took our technology on the road at the SCC Annual Meeting in New York December 8th and 9th. There we put up a poster outlining our new C-glycoside technology and engaged in a couple of days worth of very interesting discussions with prospective customers and partners. What has struck me about our first couple of weeks has been the level of media interest. ICIS, Chemical Week, Lube Report, HAPPI Magazine and even the Yale University Green Chemistry Newsletter have published pieces. We have added a media page to our site to keep track of this coverage.
An even more encouraging sign for us has been the level of interest from the market segments we are targeting for our technology. Before putting together the company we sat down and listed out all the potential customers and partners we could think of for the company. It is really quite gratifying to see that a number of them have pro-actively reached out to us to initiate discussions in the last couple of weeks. Proof that companies are very much interested in new technology and are on the look-out for its appearance.
As a result of the encouraging early interest in our products, we have already committed to a number of speaking engagements for 2012 and will publish these on a new Events page to be added to our site.
